Sue Whitsett is currently a biology teacher at Fond du Lac High School where she has been teaching since 1986. She currently is teaching accelerated biology and biology connections, a co-taught remedial biology course. She has also taught AP Biology and general chemistry. Previous to teaching in Fond du Lac, Sue taught in Oshkosh at both Oshkosh West High School and St. Peter Catholic School for a total of six years.
Sue received her National Board Certification in Adolescent/Youth Science with an emphasis in Biology in 2001. Sue currently serves as the NSTA District XII Director, representing Wisconsin, Illinois and Iowa. Sue has participated in many science related activities including 3 years as a RET in New York and Madison; an electronic mentor for eMSS; working with DPI to help write the science frameworks; a participant in WASDI, and currently a member of her district's science curriculum writing team.
